Committees

 Duties and Responsibilities
ALL are Welcome and Encouraged to Participate!!!!

Executive Committee- Duties include serving as leadership team for the organization. Participants include the elected officers, Immediate Past President, and Members at Large.

Membership/Public Relations Committee- The duties include establishing membership categories, member business cards, marketing brochures, an annual "Unsung Hero" award for pharmacist member and website updates.  

Education/Program Development Committee- The duties include coordinating educational programs with CEUs as well as planning public educational programs. 

Hospitality Committee- The duties include establishing acknowledgement criteria for special events/occasions of the membership and investigating vendor arrangements. 

Fundraising Committee- The primary duty is to secure adequate funding from drug companies, foundations, etc. to support the MPhS program. 

Strategic Planning Committee- The duties include completing a SWOT analysis, coordinating an annual strategic planning session, assisting with the Legislative Day activities of the Maryland Pharmacy Coalition and consistently reviewing and evaluating the execution of the strategic plan. 

By-Laws Review Committee- The duties include establishing a review process for the By-Laws, ensuring accuracy and consistency of the language within our existing By-Laws, and accepting/preparing recommendations for amendments to the By-Laws for vote. 

Auditing Committee- The primary duty is to review the financial records and accounting records on an annual basis alternating internal and external auditors. 

Collaborative Practice Committee- The duties include re-establishing and maintaining the MPhS Community Health Literacy Advisory Board and investigating best practices and protocols for collaboration. 

Nominating Committee- The duties include contacting potential members for leadership positions and preparing the slate for elections. Members appointed by the President.

Budget and Finance Committee- The duties include compiling committee budgets and composing a comprehensive budget for the entire organization.
